Moncler is a French luxury fashion brand established in X, with headquarters in Italy, that was made famous by its skiwear. The name ‘Moncler’ comes from an Alpine town. In 2003, the brand was bought by Remo Ruffini, an Italian entrepreneur who wanted to bring Moncler to the global market. Their signature product is the quilted jacket, which was reworked during the 1980s to include a fur trim and reversible fabrics. In 2006, the brand expanded to include the ‘Moncler Game Rouge’ collection with ready-to-wear and accessories. The ‘Moncler Game Bleu’ range followed in 2009 with a sports-focused menswear collection. The following year, ‘Moncler Grenoble’ was launched in New York, a collection which reinterpreted the styles of the past and reworked its heritage to create a contemporary collection of urban garments. Moncler is focused on becoming a sustainable and environmentally-friendly fashion label, with a production site in Romania.
